Base NATO Sigonella Project Seel structures

In 2019 Astaldi S.p.A., on behalf of the NATO Support Procurement Agency (NSPA), commissioned GammaDoors for the construction and installation of 3 Hangars in R90 metal carpentry (see Metal Structures) with cladding in rock wool insulated leaves.

The 3 Hangars have variable dimensions but the same realization peculiarities, that is:

  • R90 steel bearing structure of modular type consisting of columns and steel trusses sandblasted and with primer suitable for the following treatment REI

  • Side walls made of leaves insulated with high density mineral fibers (100 kg / m³) and thickness 100 mm, supports in pre-painted steel sheet certified REI 190 and transmittance U = 0.40 W / mqK

  • Covering realized with leaves thickness 100 mm + fret 40 mm, insulated with high intensity mineral fibers (100 KG/mc), supports in pre-painted steel sheet with thickness 0.6 external/0.5 internal certified REI 120 and transmittance U = 0,39 W/mqK

GammaDoors has carried out all the manufacturing steps of the buildings using its own Quality System regularly certified according to ISO 9001 (certificate).

GammaDoors has adopted the Manual of Factory Production Control (F.P.C.), which contains the requirements that the company applies internally to comply with the regulations of CE labeling contained in EN 1090-1 (certificate).

GammaDoors guarantees the control of all the realization steps (from the design to the laying and testing) of the metal structure, as well as tracing and certifying the material used for the building of the structure itself.

The structure has been supplied on a turnkey basis, that is inclusive of roofing, gutters, downspouts, curtain walls and external doors.
